Master Municipal Clerk Academy (MMCA)

The Master Municipal Clerk Academy (MMCA) is the Advanced Institute for California, with content created for the more tenured and experienced municipal, county, and special district Clerk. MMCA is specifically for those working on attaining the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) or Certified Clerk of the Board of Supervisors designation. Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) candidates will be accepted. The content is applicable and value-added for Clerks to the Board of Supervisors (County), Special District clerks, and City and Deputy Clerks. All gather with the common bond of a desire for lifelong learning, as these professionals continue to lead in their respective fields. 

2020 Sessions:

February 5-7, 2020 at Dolce Hayes Mansion, San Jose
September 23-25, 2020 at Kellogg West Center, Pomona

Registration for the Master Municipal Clerk (MMCA) and Clerk of the Board Academy being held February 5-7, 2020 at the Hayes Mansion in San Jose is now open!  

Registration rates are all-inclusive and include two nights of single occupancy hotel, all meals (Wednesday lunch through Friday lunch), all snacks, Thursday night welcome reception, parking, in-room wifi, and all Academy materials. This Academy is worth 10 IIMC points.

Early Bird payments must be received by January 3, 2020.

Early Bird all-inclusive (including room) - $1450

Early bird commuter - $1150

After January 3, 2020

Regular all-inclusive (including room) - $1525

Regular commuter - $1225

Curriculum

Several subject matter expert guest speakers are assembling a great team of core and guest trainers. Check the schedule posted online for Academy start and finish times and plan your travel accordingly. You must be present for all 20 hours to earn your IIMC certificate worth 10 points.

Location

Hayes Mansion is located at 200 Edenvale Ave., San Jose. Conveniently located near the San Jose airport, they offer shuttle service to and from the airport for a modest fee. Contact guest services at 408-226-3200. Cost is $35 per person each way. Guest rooms are comfortable with a host of amenities. Our session training rooms are equally inviting and comfortable.

UC Credits: $150 (optional)
Note: Attendance at all sessions is required for course completion credit. There is no provision for partial credit or "make up" assignments.
