NetFile announced their 2019 Giveback to the City Clerk community program at the CCAC Annual Conference. NetFile is offering FREE Educational workshops for any interested Clerk, comprised of two sessions: a morning session on Work-Life Balance and an afternoon session on Public Speaking. The keynote speaker from this year’s Annual Conference, Albert Mensah, will give these workshops. In 2005, Albert earned the prestigious “Certified Speaking Professional”(CSP) award—given only to the top 7% of international professional speakers, and is currently listed among the top sixty speakers in the world!

You can opt to attend either one, or both sessions. Two (2) IIMC points have been awarded for each session offering our membership four (4) IIMC points for the full day.  Even if you don’t need points, Netfile would love to have you attend to gain powerful techniques and skills, and network with other professionals in the field. Breakfast and lunch are being provided, and parking is free. All you need to do is arrive at the workshop and enjoy the training!

The training program outline is as follows: 

8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Breakfast

8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Work Life Balance training:  Better time management will benefit all aspects of life; you will be working less and producing more. This workshop will show how to focus on the important things, set accurate and achievable goals, and communicate better with your peers at work and your family at home.

12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch

1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Art of Public Speaking training:  Mastering fear and getting comfortable speaking in public can be a great ego booster, not to mention a huge benefit to your career. Let’s learn some basic public speaking skills, including in-depth information on developing an engaging program and delivering your presentation with power.

4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Assessment form completion

This is being offered as a first-come-first-served basis.  To register send an e-mail to: [email protected]. Please indicate which location and how many attendees you want to have come to the session.  It is important that you also indicate per attendee which session or sessions they wish to attend.  Remember, you can chose to attend either the morning session, the afternoon session, or both sessions.  There is limited seating (150 in Ontario and 250 in Mountain View) and these will go fast.  

Speaker - Albert Mensah, CSP
